← DOOMSDAY GAMES

Privacy

Written plainly, out of character, because this is a page somebody may have to rely on. Last updated 6 October 2026.

The game collects nothing about you. There is no account, no analytics and no telemetry. It does not know who you are, it does not report what you did, and it has nowhere to send anything even if it wanted to.

This page covers the game as you download or open it on its own: the web version, the desktop version and the mobile version. Played on the studio's play platform (play.doomsdaystudio.com), it runs inside that platform, which keeps an account, your runs and a cloud copy of your progress; that is covered separately, not by this page.

What is stored, and where

Your settings, your unlocked progress and your saved run are written to your own device: browser storage in the web version, the same storage inside the app in the desktop and mobile versions. They never leave it.

Nobody else has a copy. There is no backup, no sync and no server-side profile. Clearing the app's data, or clearing your browser's data for the site, deletes all of it permanently, and it cannot be recovered.

Network

The game makes no requests of its own: no analytics beacons, no crash reporting, no content fetched from anyone else's server. Everything it needs (the code, the VT323 typeface, the textures, the music) ships with it.

Two honest qualifications, because “no network activity” would be too strong a claim:

Where you got it

The game cannot speak for the shop it came from, and those shops collect their own data under their own policies:

Neither of them receives anything from the game itself beyond what the platform records about owning and launching it.

Children

The game has no accounts, no chat, no user-generated content and no advertising, so there is nothing in it for a child to disclose to anyone.

Third-party software

The game is built on open-source work: three.js, postprocessing, the VT323 typeface, CC0 textures and CC BY music. Every licence is reproduced in full on the licences page and in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, which ships beside the game; the desktop version's own notices are there too. The music credits are also printed in the game under OPTIONS → MUSIC.

Changes, and how to reach us

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the version printed inside the game is updated in the same release.
